Bio

Troy is the Pastor of Worship Arts at Westside Family Church, a dynamic evangelical church located in the West side of Kansas City. He was, for several years, the worship pastor for the believer's service at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest California, Pastor Rick Warren.

Troy was called to be a lead worshiper under the tutelage of songwriter/lead worshiper Tommy Walker at Christian Assembly Church in Eagle Rock California. It was in attending, and eventually serving on the worship team at Christian Assembly, that God called Troy into ministry. The songwriting and ministry of Tommy was a profound and encouraging influence on Troy in the early days of his ministry.

After serving at several Los Angeles churches for a few years, Troy was called to serve at Saddleback Community Church. He was privileged to serve with Rick Muchow, the senior Pastor of worship arts at Saddleback for four years. It was at Saddleback that he began writing songs for praise and worship and recorded his first praise and worship CD, "Let the People Praise Him." 

Troy is also known as a conference speaker/teacher and worship leader. For several years, at Saddleback's Worship conference, Troy has also participated on a prestigious songwriter's panel that included such internationally known writers as Darlene Zschech (Shout to the Lord), Tommy Walker (Mourning into Dancing, Only a God Like You), Rick Founds (Lord I Lift Your Name on High), Eddie Espinosa (Change My Heart Oh God), Morris Chapman (Family Prayer song) and Rick Muchow.

He and his wife Gwen have a passion to see people grow in intimacy and maturity with God, specifically, through worship and prayer. He has spent the last seventeen years as a music minister, professional studio and touring singer and songwriter. Churches around the United Sates are recording many of his songs. His influence as a worship leader and songwriter has been heard around the world through his ministries at Saddleback, Westside and newworship.com.
